Introducing the new Castle Stoves

Castle Stoves

According to the UK’s Energy Saving Trust, wood burning stoves can cut down your heating bill by 10%. This is why households are turning to wood burning stoves as the most cost-efficient alternative to central heating.

You may be put off by those bank-breaking stoves out there. But now, it's time to banish those budget blues because Specflue is proud to present a new range, Castle Stoves, which are very affordable.

We are known for bringing warmth and classic charm to your living space. And now, our latest collection is here with even mightier charm.

The Castle Stove range does come with a lower price, but the impact is very high, these stoves pack a mighty punch when it comes to performance.

So, let’s get to know what our latest stove range has to offer.

Castle Stoves, Your Affordable Warmth Solution!
This range contains three stoves: Tiverton, Stirling and Framlingham. These models have different stove specifications, such as dimensions, output and emissions.

All three stoves have been created keeping design, performance and budget in mind.

Design
There is nothing more enticing than getting home on a chilly winter’s day and sitting around the warm glow produced by a log burner. However, a stove should do more than just provide warmth, it should elevate the look of your room, not something that’s forcibly placed to survive the cold.

One of the great Castle Stove features is the glass display that showcases the dancing flames within. It adds a touch of elegance to the overall design while allowing you to enjoy the sight of a roaring fire.

Performance
Next up is performance. Just like our other stove ranges, each stove in the Castle range is the epitome of high performance. These stoves leverage modern stove technology that maximises heat output while minimising fuel consumption. That means you're getting the most bang for your buck with every log burned.

At the bottom of these burners, you will find a small grate that allows the air to circulate. The stoves also come equipped with a nifty air wash system that keeps the heat-resistant glass on the fire door clean.

Also, there are control levers on the bottom of the door assembly to adjust the primary, secondary and tertiary air. You can simply adjust the air intake to manage the fire as needed.

And not to mention the environmental efficiency. Specflue always offers eco-design stoves keeping sustainability in prime focus and this range is no exception. All the stoves in the Castle collection are DEFRA Exempt, which means they are clean, green, and ready to burn in even the most environmentally conscious areas.

Budget
Rising energy bills and the high cost of living have drawn people to wood burners. However, for some people, the upfront cost of wood burners and their installation is a big deterrent.

That's why we have created these free-standing, affordable wood burning stoves so that you can enjoy warmth without any financial burden.

But the budget-friendly nature of Castle Stoves doesn't mean skimping on quality. These stoves are built to last, so you're not just getting a good deal upfront; you're getting long-term value that'll keep paying dividends for years to come.

Types of Stoves in Castle Range

As mentioned earlier, the Castle range consists of three types of wood burning stoves which have been designed to cater to different needs and preferences. Each stove offers a unique combination of style, efficiency and performance, ensuring that there's something for everyone.

The design and durability of these stoves are alike. The same sturdy “cast iron” frame with a black finish, a metal handle, and a fireproof glass door to enjoy the crackling flames.

The  Castle Stove models come in three different stove sizes, heating outputs, and emission levels to accommodate varying needs. You can compare stove ranges to find one that perfectly meets your heating requirements.

Now, let's examine the three models in the Castle Stoves range: Tiverton, Stirling, and Framlingham.

Tiverton
If you are looking for a stove for a small kitchen, living room, bedroom, cabin, or van, Tiverton is the go-to option because it’s the smallest in the line. At 500mm in height and 390 mm in width, it is ideal for smaller properties.

Tiverton has an impressive output of 5.0 kW, keeping your space snug and inviting. But what sets it apart is its efficiency. With a net efficiency rating of 84.4%, it ensures that every log burns efficiently, keeping your energy bills in check.

In addition, it ticks all the boxes in eco-friendliness. With CO emissions at just 0.08 vol%, the Tiverton proves that you can enjoy a roaring fire without harming the environment. Plus, its air wash system ensures that the glass door stays clear, offering a front-row seat to the mesmerising dance of flames within.

So if you're looking for a stove that packs a punch without taking up too much space or breaking the bank, look no further than the Tiverton. It's the perfect blend of style, performance, and eco-friendliness, ensuring that you stay warm and cosy all winter.

Stirling
Next up, we have the Stirling, the versatile middle child of the Castle Stove family. Like its sibling, the Tiverton it delivers a hearty 5 kW output to keep your space toasty and warm.

Plus, the efficiency rating is also impressive, at 83.9%. However, with a bit larger (560*560 mm) dimensions, you may require a bigger space than what is needed for Tiverton.  But it does not mean you need a lot of space to accommodate these stoves.

Just make sure furnishings are 1.3 metres away and the appliance has enough space for proper ventilation; then, you are all set to install a Stirling stove. And when it comes to emissions, it's a real eco-warrior, with CO emissions at just 0.10 vol%³.

It’s also equipped with an air wash system to keep the glass door clean and clear. So, if you are looking for a highly efficient and affordable wood burning stove for a medium space, Stirling is the ideal choice.

Framlingham
Last but certainly not least, we have the Framlingham, the powerhouse of the Castle Stove range.

Though the dimensions are the same as Stirling's, what makes it stand out is that it’s a high-output. With an impressive 7.8 kW output, it's the perfect choice for larger spaces or those who demand serious heating power. For example, it’s best suited for larger homes, workshops, or commercial spaces where maximum heating power is required.

But don't let its size fool you because it's still efficient, with a net efficiency rating of 79.2%.
