H005 BIOMASS SERVICE & MAINTENANCE
Target Audience
A new scheme to accommodate the requirements of the new MCS standard MCS040. This course is for candidates who wish to Service and maintain Biomass appliances.
Pre- Requisites
You need at least one of the following:
- N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or equivalent earlier certification that provides evidence of competence
- N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Heating and Ventilating (Domestic Installation) or equivalent earlier certification that provides evidence of competence
- N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Heating and Ventilating (Industrial and Commercial Installation) or equivalent earlier certification that provides evidence of competence
- N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Oil-Fired Technical Services or equivalent earlier certification that provides evidence of competence
- N/SVQ Level 2/3 in Gas Installation and Maintenance or equivalent earlier certification that provides evidence of competence
(HETAS recommends that manufacturer specific training in service & maintenance is also undertaken where available)
Course Content
- Know the requirements for the routine servicing of biomass appliances
- Know how to diagnose faults in biomass appliances
- Know how to rectify faults in biomass appliances
- Be able to service and maintain biomass appliances
- Be able to rectify faults in biomass appliances
